Elicia Summoogum is a 10-year-old author from St Mary’s Island, Kent. At the age of 8, she wrote and published her first book, The Element Fairies, a six-chapter fictional story inspired by a vivid dream. The book features characters based on her family and friends, with hand-drawn illustrations to reflect her original vision. Writing became a personal form of therapy for Elicia, helping her cope with stress and emotions. She is passionate about children’s mental health and encourages others to use creative writing as a way to express themselves. All proceeds from her book are donated to a charity supporting families with hungry children, showing her strong sense of compassion and commitment to social causes.
