Ing. Jozef Matušov, PhD., is an expert in energy innovation and the strategic management of research and development projects in the fields of sustainable energy and mechanical engineering. He has long been dedicated to connecting research, industry, and the public sector. In a project focused on creating a digital twin of the Gabčíkovo Hydropower Plant, he serves as the technical guarantor on behalf of Vodohospodárska výstavba, state enterprise, where he is responsible for the professional direction of the solution and the design of an AI-driven energy hub concept. He has contributed to the preparation and implementation of strategic IPCEI projects in the areas of batteries and hydrogen, and currently acts as an advisor to the Ministry of Investment, Regional Development and Informatization of the Slovak Republic on the development of artificial intelligence initiatives. He is also an active evaluator of international research and development projects (EIT, Eurostars, and other programs).
